I am leaving Taiwan in two days and after a couple of days in Dallas for my cousin’s wedding, we leave for South America. Our final destination is the small fishing village of Huanchaco, Peru, just outside the city of Trujillo.
This move is fraught with emotion for me. I absolutely love Kaohsiung Taiwan and all of the wonderful things I have seen and done, the amazing people I have met, and the life changes I have experienced in the year I’ve spent here.
It is, however, time to move on. Initially we had planned to move to Phnom Penh, Cambodia but the oppressive heat of Cambodia was a deterrent.A big deterrent. When I asked my husband if there was a place in the world that had perfect weather all the time, he responded quite confidently with Huanchaco, Peru. Plans were changed. Simple as that.
